Lessons at Pinecrest Piano Studio

At Pinecrest Piano Studio, our mission is to provide a nurturing yet professional environment where students of all ages can explore and develop their musical potential. Below, you’ll find our studio policies and teaching philosophy, designed to ensure a positive and effective learning experience for every student.

Studio Policies

Commitment to Lessons

To ensure consistent progress, students are expected to commit to a minimum of 6 consecutive lessons when starting their piano journey at Pinecrest Piano Studio. This foundational period is crucial for establishing a steady routine and building momentum in their musical development.

Scheduling and Holidays

  • There will be no lessons during public holidays, spring, or summer breaks, or until further notice. You will be notified well in advance of any schedule adjustments.

  • Weekly lessons are essential for consistent progress. For students unable to attend weekly lessons, we offer flexible scheduling.

Absence Policy

Clear communication is essential for smooth lesson scheduling:

  • 24-hour Notice Requirement: If you need to cancel or reschedule a lesson, please inform me at least 24 hours before the scheduled lesson time. Failure to do so will result in the lesson fee being non-refundable or non-transferable.

  • Health Emergencies or Unforeseen Circumstances: In case of health emergencies or other unforeseen events, please notify me prior to the scheduled lesson. We will work to rearrange the lesson to a time before the next scheduled lesson, provided that the notice is given at least 24 hours in advance.

Rescheduling Policy

In the event of rescheduling due to emergencies or unforeseen events, students must:

  • Contact me at least 24 hours in advance of the lesson to discuss an alternative time.

  • Rescheduled lessons must take place before the following week’s lesson to avoid disruption in the learning process.

Flexibility Packages

For students who are unable to commit to weekly lessons due to travel, work, or other obligations, we offer a Flexible Package:

  • 50-minute lessons: $70 per lesson

  • 120-minute lessons: $140 per lesson These flexible lessons can be scheduled on a bi-weekly or occasional basis, but still require advance notice and adherence to the 24-hour cancellation policy.

Trial Lessons

We offer a free trial lesson, either in-person or via Zoom, to allow new students to experience our teaching style and discuss their individual goals before committing to regular lessons.

Materials for Lessons

Students are responsible for purchasing any necessary lesson materials, including sheet music, books, and any other resources required for their piano studies.
